Dress: The dress of a Regency-era woman: gauzy white gown with empire waist and small, puff sleeves, Spencer jacket, slippers, and bonnet. Later, men's trousers, shirtwaist, waistcoat and boots, with a heavy Inverness cloak and fitted leather mask.

Weaknesses: Very limited experience. As a creature born adult, she lacks the socialization necessary to interact effectively with ordinary people. As much as she would like to reassure and mitigate people's natural horror at her appearance, she lacks the ability to tailor her actions to affect the emotions she reads. She is extremely sensitive to loud noises and bright light, which causes her skin to redden and blister with lengthy exposure.
History: Constructed by a man obsessed with death, Miel was originally intended as a window into the substance of life. When that purpose was served, the mad Count decided to destroy what he had created, in order that he might study its death as well as its birth. Determined to live, Miel escaped with her sole companion, a clockwork golem.
